If I had any other relatives in need of an assisted living facilities care, I would recomend this place to them Immediately. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience here. But the Miami Herald apparently wants its readers to believe that GovernorRon DeSantis is engaged in a massive cover-up of a “flurry of deaths” at assisted living facilities around the state.
They had activities in the afternoon and the activity director was excellent, very caring, very loving, and very patient. They had a lot of music and put on videos of old songs. They had painting, arts and crafts, and bingo. Miami and the state of Florida have long been known as a haven for senior citizens. Many retirees choose to spend their golden years either wintering in the area or residing in Miami full-time. In fact, more than 16% of the city’s overall population is made up of seniors aged 65 and older.

From the outside, it looked like an old building. It is obvious they have maintained that building very well. It is clean and very spacious everywhere. Many seniors and their families use some form of financial assistance to help them pay for nursing care.
I will never refer anyone to this facility. I do not see how others claim it is a great place. Riverside Care Center is very good so far and I have no complaints.

I was very impressed with their staff. They’re very accommodating and very attentive. They’re very competent and seemed to be well trained and well-coached. They spent so much time on therapy, I didn’t really have time for activities and I like that because I wanted to be coached into better health and they really concentrated on it. They had a wonderful equipped facility.
Monday-Friday doctors give proper care. It’s predominantly a Hispanic/Spanish. Overall I do recommend this residence. It is 2 minutes away from my home. I think there’s only 3 private rooms. The TV is on all day in dining/living room area as it’s only 1.

The rooms have two beds, and there is a bathroom in each room. They have single-bedrooms, but the lady who was giving us the tour told us they were for private patients who paid a significant amount of money for those rooms, and they looked excellent. In general, it looked clean, and the attention to the residents was good, according to what I saw. They have a very roomy dining room with three or four chairs per table.
Nonetheless, many of them are failing to provide reliable, high-quality care to vulnerable residents. In fact, eight facilities owned by Mr. Scheiner and his companies are on Florida’s official ‘watchlist” for problematic nursing homes. Between November of 2016 and November of 2019, there were 114 complaints filed against his nursing homes and they were fined more than $500,000 by the federal government and the State of Florida. The Alliance for Aging connects seniors and their caregivers with local resources that help them remain independent, as well as financial assistance programs and benefits counseling. This agency is part of the national network of Area Agencies on Aging. I went to visit a friend as was appalled with how bad the service and care at this facility.
They truly do work hard for you and we had a better outcome than originally expected and we can't thank them enough for how well they represented my husband and I. They were also very compassionate towards us and our case and they took it on as if it was their own and as if it affected their own family as it did ours, which touched our hearts. Absolutely amazing team and very aggressive.
A 44-year-old woman with cerebral palsy contracted COVID-19 in the facility and passed away from the respiratory disease. The city says the reports are exempt from the public records law because they are connected to an active criminal investigation. The lawsuit also seeks the release of police reports from Sept. 13 and 14 that would provide insight into what police found and were told upon their arrival at the nursing home. Florida’s decision to house hundreds of profoundly disabled children in institutions designed for elders has drawn fire, both from children’s advocates and the U.S. Justice Department, which is accusing the state of cutting in-home care for frail children by so much that parents often are given no choice but to institutionalize their young ones. A nursing home in Miami Gardens is shutting down its children’s unit following the death of two children and safety fines totaling $300,000.
Nursing homes provide a high level of medical care and continuous monitoring for seniors who need it. Care is provided by skilled nurses and experienced caregivers who are on-site 24/7. According to the Genworth Cost of Care survey for 2020, the cost of nursing care is generally much higher than other types of senior care. In Miami, seniors can expect to pay an average of $9,095 per month for a semiprivate room in a nursing care facility. This cost is more than double that of home health care and assisted living in the states.
His objections were well made and well placed at trial and frustrated the rhythm of the opposing counsel and gave him alot of credibility with the judge. Although I lthink that facts were on our side and that we would have won the case anyway, having Mr Pike gave me a sense of confidence that I would not have had with different attorney. Even the judge complimented Mr pike on well he performed during trial, several times I might add. I would absolutely recommend him.
